WPCC Kettlebell Level 1 Certification
Foundational practitioner credential. Clinical-first kettlebell methodology. Every other kettlebell certification begins with technique. This one begins with assessment.
Clinical discernment before coaching competency.
The distinction this certification makes: a practitioner who has completed the WPCC Level 1 can identify the difference between a technique problem and a prerequisite problem. A technique problem responds to cueing. A prerequisite problem does not. Loading a pattern before the prerequisite exists reinforces the compensation and wastes the client's time.
The four assessment screens are not a comprehensive movement evaluation. They are a targeted battery designed to predict the specific failure modes of the kettlebell movement curriculum. Every tell in every progression traces back to a finding these screens identify.
Practitioners who complete this certification can run a complete clinical engagement with an executive client: from first conversation through progressive program delivery, governed at every step by a doctrine that connects physical capacity to professional performance.
9 modules. Assess before you load.
Each module includes an Executive Client Closer section: practitioner-to-client conversation framing for applying the methodology with executive and professional clients.
Four screens: Postural Stack, Lower Body Pattern, ASLR with Internal Rotation Bias, Shoulder IR/ER. Green/Amber/Red grading determines load readiness. Governing principle: assess before you load.
Bridge layer between assessment and loaded movement. Builds reflexive stability and movement quality through unloaded transitions. The pass series is the curriculum in miniature.
Hinge mechanics through RDL, good morning, deadlift, and amplitude-sequenced swing progressions. Hip drive established in isolation before ballistic arc is introduced.
Squat mechanics built from constraint to expression. Foam roller hack squat, goblet squat, offset-base and contralateral loading, bilateral rack, and dynamic expression. Tell clearance governs phase transitions.
The most complex movement in the curriculum: an integration of the hinge and squat work. Gunslinger catch steps isolate the receive mechanic before full hip drive is introduced. The catch is built first.
Extension dominance is the governing pattern to solve. Halo as the first diagnostic. Progression through strict, rotational, and ballistic steps before bilateral double-bell expression.
The standard for advancement is tell clearance, not time or rep count. Three tell states: Cleared, Managed, Compensated. Working load defined by tell behavior, not maximal capacity.
The WPCC session template: Check-In, Pass and Core Stability, Pattern Work, Conditioning Expression. Three cycle lengths (4-, 8-, and 12-week). Frequency and schedule-robustness standards for the executive client population.
Technical competency without communication competency produces practitioners who are excellent in the session and invisible in the market. The first conversation. Framing findings. The congruence gap. Retaining clients through the learning curve.
Three components.
Screening and modification scenarios. Applied assessment logic under client-specific conditions.
Video submission teaching the foundational skills. Assessors evaluate cuing, fault identification, and corrections. Not the candidate's personal performance level.
A four-week program for a defined client profile. Application of the tell clearance and program design frameworks to a real-world case.
